Tap handles do more than just pour draught beer. Like the branded fonts onto which they sit, they raise brand awareness and drive sales by catching the drinker's eye and influencing choice...
And it was this ability to boost presence and performance that InBev UK sought to take to new heights, with a new illuminated tap handle for its easy drinking Stella Artois 4% brand.
Working closely with InBev UK and branding agency PI Global, we delivered an iconic handle that embodies the brand's premium quality, heritage and taste credentials.
Uniquely, it features two illuminated areas that highlight the brand's 4% ABV and triple filtered craftsmanship respectively. These required precise LED positioning to ensure no light-spill or overlapping was evident.
To further capture the drinker's attention and convey a sense of both quality and familiarity, we were also tasked with creating specific finishes and colours for the handle that match the brand's distinctive can packaging.
When launched in trade the handle sat atop our unique free-flow HeadLine tap, which improves dispense presentation, head formation and lacing.
