COMMITMENT OF INNOWATECH ANOLYTE®

One of the most important applications of INNOWATECH Anolyte® is the germ reduction in complete drink water networks of buildings.

By dosing the Anolyte into the water supply directly behind the water meter, present germs like Legionella and Pseudomonas will be eliminated in the entire drinking water system. Existing biofilms will be efficiently dismantled and the regeneration impeded!

Anolyte is the most reliable disinfectant to combat Legionella, because it removes not only the pathogen germs in the water, but also the biofilm as the source of the evil.

LEGIONELLA


Legionella are ubiquitary, what means they can be found in natural waters and ground water everywhere, however in low concentration. Probably they exist since long times ago.

Particularly "Legionella pneumophila" appear in water tubes, fittings, air conditioning systems, air washers, warm water systems, cooling towers, water reservoirs and cooling circuits. In cold water systems they can appear when in summer as result of high outside temperatures and poor isolation the temperatures in the piping becomes > 20°C.

They are found increasingly in old age and care homes, hospitals, kinder gardens, day cares, hotels, swimming centers, sports facilities, camping grounds etc.. Old and frequently serviced or just temporary used warm water pipes and tanks a high source of risk and support a strong reproduction of the Legionella.

In this process the biofilm plays a key role, because it protects and feeds the Legionella. The protection of the germs by the biofilm is also a reason why other methods like thermal disinfection are very often not sustainable and can not solve the problem!

SUPPRESSION

For a simultaneous fight against the biofilm, Legionella, Pseudomonas and other pathogene germs in the drinking water, Anolyte is the most effective solution.

As pH neutral and aqueous active agent the Anolyte mixes perfect with water and is able to disperse optimal in the system, to block the growth of the biofilm and even to remove it in existing water pipes. The slimy border layer where microorganisms grow is permeated and removed as well as the free existent Legionella in the flowing water.

The great advantage of Anolyte is, that it is compliant to the drinking water order and thus can be continuous applied. In the middle range existing Legionella contaminations are removed and in the long range their re-creation is prevented. In comparison to other disinfectants no formation resistances must be suspected. At the neutral pH, where it is applied there is also a depot effect as a part of the Anolyte exists as free hypochloric acid and another part as sodium hypochlorite which are in balance with each other. This means that consumed parts of the active agent are substituted immediately.
