    Application

    Rapi-Mix blenders achieve a homogeneous blend of solids and additives with the same or different density: powders, granules, pigments and others. They are intended primarily for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and chemical industries, and are characterized by their speed and effectiveness.

    Operating principle

    The products to be mixed are weighed into the mixing vessel outside of the unit. The vessel is then transported to the blender, where it is placed under the bottom part of the mixer head. The mixing vessel is raised automatically by means of a lifting system and is connected to the mixer head.
    Once it is hermetically sealed, the mixing body rotates 180º around its horizontal axis to position itself in the mixing position. The motor will not drive the agitator until it has stopped at this position. The agitator has two mixing speeds, slow and fast. The agitator generates a vortex flow combined with a rotational flow to drive the mixing process. While following a rotating motion, the product strikes against the walls of the mixing vessel, lifting it along the walls until it eventually falls toward the centre of the agitator.
    Once the mixing process is completed and the motor is stopped, the mixing body returns to its initial position, the mixing vessel is separated from the mixer head and is automatically lowered. After the mixing process, the mixing vessel is removed and stored in quarantine or used as feed hopper of a bagging machine, extruder or the like.

    Design and features

    The unit consists of two support frames with a mixer head, a mixing vessel, a rotating system for the mixing unit, and an electrical panel. An optional product discharge system can be added to the mixing unit as an independent system.
