Robatech regularly consults OEMs to ensure its products offer not only the highest level of compatibility with host control systems, but also maximum forward and backward compatibility. New product can be largely integrated into existing systems.

The innovative core of Robatech systems is the ICS, (Integrated Control System) a standardised electronics module that features on all new Robatech products, including pattern controllers and melters. (where appropriate: see individual products for specifications) ICS is capable of many functions including regulating the temperatures in all heating zones, the pumps, and the adhesive application in all hotmelt units.

ICS connects through a range of standard communication interfaces including PROFIBUS and CAN–Bus. Tasks can be controlled locally to reduce the burden on the host system. Various inputs and outputs simplify the integration and communication.
