The packaging line, which was supplied to the US market, handles pre-assembled inhalers. Before applying a label containing variable printed data, the inhalers pass through a 10-minute buffering system.
In the downstream equipment:
The inhalers are packed into gas proof and labelled pouches.
Packed into a carton together with a leaflet.
Pre-grouped in closed folding boxes and placed into a pre-erected case.
Closed and "over-the-counter" labelled before palletising
The complete packaging line, including the Line Management System, was validated based on a risk-based approach.
